Advertising Week 2014 recently took place in New York from September 29 through October 3, during which global advertising professionals talked about the latest industry trends. This year’s hot topics included native advertising, programmatic advertising, and mobile and video advertising, and how these ad methods are forever changing the marketing world as we know it.
The top topic discussed at the event was programmatic advertising, and how television will soon be using programmatic advertising to connect better with audiences. Native advertising was the second hottest topic, and it was discussed that 64 percent of all marketers plan to increase spending on native advertising within the next six months.
The event’s speakers also shared statistics on video advertising, which has more than doubled since 2012. In regards to mobile advertising, the launch of iPhone 6 has startups clamoring to develop new mobile strategies and advertising platforms. Lastly, advertisers discussed the rise of women making it big in the digital advertising industry, and how women are being more empowered to step into the tech industry.
