I have an immediate adverse reaction to any ad intrusion on a blog post I try to read on my phone. They slow down my loading time, and occasionally I accidently click on the ad when I’m trying click the “next” button on a photo slideshow; it’s getting harder and harder to distinguish between what’s an ad and what is part of the copy. I have a shower radio that I like to listen to for news in the morning, but by the time I’ve showered, shaved and brushed my teeth, instead of news all I’ve heard is locally produced ads with embarrassingly bad jingles.
